Every gift benefits historic preservation, the development of a new science space for all ages, and a state-of-the art Abilene Public Main Library.

Preserving history for all to come
Designed by renowned architect David S. Castle, the historic buildings of the Abilene Heritage Square campus have been home to generations of students. This renovation will instill a sense of shared history as the restored buildings welcome visitors to explore, learn, and create community in a space that honors our past, while educating and inspiring the future.
Sparking innovation for families
Spark Innovation will be a new exhibit space for interactive experiences in science and technology. As a satellite location of The Grace Museum, Spark Innovation will be geared toward education and fun for the entire family. It will include permanent and temporary exhibits, as well as feature travelling exhibits often only seen in much larger cities.
Creating a state-of-the-art library
The Abilene Public Library (APL) branches already circulate more than 512,000 print and digital items to 325,000 visitors a year. Centrally located with plenty of parking, the new facility will take up 65,000 sq. ft. and include a recording studio, a computer checkout, meeting rooms, and even an adjacent coffee shop. This will allow the APL the flexibility and room to serve Abilene for generations to come.
